Set back from the street this architecturally designed home is a towering structure of modern design using contrasting soft and harsh metals as well as timber, ply, aluminium, glass and corrugated iron. The result is a ying and yang approach playing on the concept of two separate buildings. The landscape completes the design and amplifies the contrast by using varying materials in colour, texture, and format. The gardens provided an instant tropical oasis using advanced plants such as two five hundred year old macrozmia trees and eight meter high bamboo to buffer the three adjacent properties.
